No need to be an a$$. At the time of his hiring, he was the best candidate ON PAPER. He checked all the boxes. He had experience. He coached elite talent. He was known for his recruiting. That's what we thought we needed.
As I said, so far its not worked out. I'm still hopeful for the future but I'm generally an optimist.
That's your opinion and not sure what boxes you are looking at. It was a limited candidate pool but the other finalist candidate was a former coordinator (similar credentials to BP who had best credentials before Huff...your words) and furthermore he had built a start up program and quickly moved up to D1 as HC. Those are some important boxes to consider. If you think he was best candidate fine, but don't be declaring it like it is fact while contradicting your own statements.
