Topic: Herd Men's Spring Soccer Schedule

Looks like the Herd opens up the spring season on February 25th at home with Athlete Institute Football Club out of Canada, followed by two more home games: Ohio State on March 2nd and University of Louisville on March 9th.  The season concludes with away games at Xavier on March 16th and Butler April 6th.  Championship games on April 13th in Columbus.

That's a loaded schedule -- should be fun to watch.

The impressive thing about MU Soccer is that our "stars" leave and there's another one right behind them with game experience.  Grassie does an amazing job of balancing winning lineups with preparing future lineups.  He should really hold a seminar for football and basketball on how to do that so well.  I know it begins with recruiting but he sprinkles in a little magic dust somewhere along the way.

It's unreal honestly. Imagine losing multiple All Americans and then you bring in the AAC & SoCon players of the year to replace them. What he's able to do is unheard of

JUNIOR Matthew Bell and GRADUATE Morris Duggan have been added to the 2024 Marshall Men's Soccer roster on Herdzone.com.  Neither have actually signed with their MLS club, but it's possible for them to return while the MLS clubs still control their rights, similar to how Sporting KC allowed Jamil Roberts to return in 2020...

They were not on the posted 2024 roster a month ago...

JUNIOR Matthew Bell and GRADUATE Morris Duggan have been added to the 2024 Marshall Men's Soccer roster on Herdzone.com.  Neither have actually signed with their MLS club, but it's possible for them to return while the MLS clubs still control their rights, similar to how Sporting KC allowed Jamil Roberts to return in 2020...

Holy moly! If they do come back, we will be lethal. The game with WVU would draw 10K fans if we had the seating.

Probably need to be cautious of considering that factual simply because if it were fully confirmed, you'd think they would be shouting that news from the rooftops.  I guess we'll likely know by the exhibition game on Feb. 28 just a few weeks away...

True. Funny that I checked the roster not too long ago to see if they had added the new guys, and Bell and Duggan were not listed. They now list Bell as a junior and Duggan as a graduate player. Interesting. Thanks for posting the info.

They were on the roster immediately following the season's end, it hasn't been updated. I really wish for them to come back, but I think that it's just a case of the roster not being updated since their draft day.

Veiga is also not on the roster, even though he is back.

I've heard murmurings that Guga may be RS'd this season to give him the opportunity to recover from the myriad of injuries he's suffered over the last year and a half
