Maybe we need 4 or 5 more players to leave and see if "genius" Dan tries to replace them ALL with 17- or 18-year-old PROJECTS!  Or in real desperation will he and his staff really try and bring 1 or 2, or a "few" experienced, proven and ready-to-play transfers, JUCOS, etc.?

if a coach doesn't have drive and therefore, a practice squad who's D is as soft as butter, what can we expect?  if he can't evaluate talent/potential and then get them on campus then...DD better study other coaches and take the best from each AT the LEVEL he's coaching in.  DD has gotten lost, is stubborn or mired in some useless details.  i keep asking myself- does he break it down for his players, keep it simple and repetitive (disciplined) or is it the opposite?

Be careful what you wish for.  I heard Cal in the post game press conference use the "we are young and they are older" excuse.  This morning I was watching SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt.  He had on a person who follows UK basketball and the guy said that Cal will never stop recruiting high school players in favor of players from the portal.  It sounds like Cal is another coach who is too stubborn to change.  You think Marshall was dumb for giving DD a three year extension.  UK gave Cal a lifetime contract worth $86 million, with a $30+ million dollar buyout!!!

I watched one of the UK postgame streams on youtube. It was brutal, as expected.  The buyout is $34M.  I guess Cal has stated publicly he is at UK to get the kids to the NBA not win championships. Nobody had anything positive to say about Cal last night and all said it was long past time for him to be gone. UK has now lost 3 of last 4 NCAA tourney games.

Well, at least they have expectations at UK.

there is a happy balance somewhere but it's elusive to many if not most.  we know that first hand at the moment
