  • How about your follow poutie Doc's comeuppance on 11/27/21 in Huntington where Marshall was beating WKU 14-7 at the half and WKU outscores your wvu buddy 47-7 in the second half to win 53-21.
    https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/401282272/western-ky-marshall

Or how about another comeuppance for a former beloved former assistant coach from morganhole on 11/26/16 at the Joan where WKU raced to a 41-0 halftime lead and won 60-6.
    https://africa.espn.com/college-football/boxscore/_/gameId/400869419

And how about Doc's comeuppance against OSU, sorry I mean the mighty football power Akron of the MAC. In Huntington on 9/172016 where Akron beat 65-38.
    https://gozips.com/sports/football/stats/2016/marshall/boxscore/722

You wvu fans sure know a lot about comemppances. Do you still believe Marshall should close the School of Pharmacy which you wrote to me in your email?

And it's reported that Ohio St is spending 13 million this year on NIL alone to buy a championship. And he wants to compare this game to back then? Lmao!!!

  • Between lambert and Huff I'll take Huff all day long. Again Huffs biggest failure was getting a good QB. It all starts with a QB and we had the rest of the team to get it done. But I'll guarantee you Lambert wouldn't recruit as well in today's portal as Huff. I'm actually amazed at how he gets some of these P5 kids to come to Huntington with little NIL. If he has the QB we will be more than fine.

This x1000. After Bernie Morris took 3 years to develop we may now have to watch a healthy Fancher light it up for FAU . We just cannot afford any more projects at QB.

It?s far too early to say either way but FAU?s incumbent QB outplayed Fancher in their spring game.

Fancher put basically the same type numbers as he did for us 15-25, 115 yards 1TD, 2Picks

If your aunt had D!ck she'd be your uncle.  I don't care about Lambert as that's all hypothetical.  I don't hate on Huff but he has not delivered at all.  We will see.

Well you cared enough to say he "certainly" would have been better than Huff. So maybe your Aunt is your uncle?

Fair enough.  I just think a lot of coaches could do .500 or better  at MU in this league.  If you think Huff is Vince Lombardi minus a QB then so be it.

Those are just the facts. Here is another fact.

The Doc disaster on 9/01/2012 with wvu leading Marshall 69-20 in the fourth quarter. wvu clears the bench and Marshall gets two TDs to make the score "respectable" at 69-34. Huff may not be a good coach, but Doc is responsible for some the worst beat downs that Marshall has ever experienced in football.

No wonder Doc was never considered head coaching material at a school where he spent around 20 years playing and coaching. wvu knew his limitations.

The jury is still out, the WKU game in 2021 that you tried to link to Doc was actually coached by Huff. Huff lost 5 straight games last year by a touchdown or more. Then after a win over Georgia Southern, he lost 28-0 to South Alabama. You selectively remember history here. Marshall could easily start this season 1-3 or 2-2. A 4-4 Sun Belt record is a distinct possibility. And that is generous.

Sorry, about the 2021 game but Doc has had some other embarrassing loses. He lost to your pounties 2006 42-10 and 48-23 in 2007. Doc didn't seem to understand the importance of scoring defense. In 2011 he lost to Ohio U not Ohio State 44-7. In 2019 Doc lost to UCinn 52-14. In 2016 after the horrible lost to a really bad Akron 65-38 he gave up 59points; 43 points and 38 points in the next three loses. In 2012 he lost to UCF at the Joan 54-17. In 2011 he lost to Houston 63-28 and Tulsa 59-17.

In 2010 Doc  lost to Ohio State 45-7; Southern Miss 41-15 and to Bowling Green 44-28. In 2019 Doc lost UCF 48-25. As you can read, he gave Herd Fans some their lost blowout losses in school history.

Doc had opposing teams score over 40 points against him over 10 times and had opposing teams score in the 50 and 60 point range. I am not a fan of Huff, but everyone knows that dumb old Doc would have never won the Notre Dame game on NBC.

Do you still think that Marshall should have never opened the School Of Pharmacy and be creating new programs? You just seem to hate Marshall.

Doc didn't coach against WVU in 06 or 07.

  • OK, well let's wrap all this up about "Doc", and put him where he belongs, in the rear-view mirror, with a simple "POLL"!!

Keeping it simple, vote on just how many times during the Notre Dame game Doc Holliday would have PUNTED from on or around the IRISH thirty-yard line??  I'll say at LEAST TWICE!!

    Have at it, HERD FANS!!!!

What does that have to do with ND? You can't take that win from Huff. And if he loses to Ohio St then the ND game didn't count? Go back and watch that game. We lined up and out played ND on their home field. Ohio St just spent 13 MILLION on this years team so I wouldn't expect us to win.
