  • Herd That up 49-26 at halftime. Fun team to watch on both ends of the floor. They look even better than last year.

Starting lineup was Elmore, Kane, Mumford, Tokoto, Williams.

Announcers said Mumford was one of the best available "free agents" for this tourney and has looked the part. Made three 3's in the first few minutes.

West has been great off the bench. Cokley is back. A new big guy named Nick McGlynn looks good too. Looks like an 8-man rotation with those three plus the starters. Watson, Browning, and Taylor are on the roster, but I don't think they've played so far.

Don't forget Tyrus McGee (#21), he's the guard from Iowa State that played with the Aftershocks last year.  He played alot of minutes today, too.  It's pretty much a 9 man rotation.

I've HERD in the past that TBT required 6 players from the school for them to call it an alumni team.  With James Kelly not playing and Kinsey just signing that Jazz contact, they basically needed Taylor and Browning to round out the roster to still be a "Marshall alumni team".

92-57 final. Jacorey Williams led the way with 17 points, Cokely added 14 and Munsford had 13. Elmore and Kane went for 9 & 7 respectively.

Honestly, we need to look at adding Elmore to the coaching staff when he's done playing basketball. Him & Ot have done a fantastic job of recruiting players to this team that fit the Dantoni system & Elmore has done an incredible job of teaching the basics of the system to these guys in a very limited amount of time. The 92 points are the most scored so far of any of the TBT round 1 games and we could have easily scored 110. Missed a lot of wide open shots early plus played reserves the entire 4th quarter.

  • They are back in action Sunday (7/21) on FS2 at 12PM against War Ready (Auburn). Here is their roster: https://thetournament.com/tbt/teams/war-ready/ - I don't personally recognize any names.

  • Im a little surprised that Janson Williams didn't play this year. I talked to him back in early spring and he mentioned about possibly playing.

  • Getting beat physically and the refs are letting is happen. Kane smacked in the mouth with an elbow twice. Ghetto ball is not our forte, they play physical in the SEC.

  • Please keep updating score. Ty!

Target score of 63 was set while we trailed 55-49. War Ready got two quick buckets to start the Elam Ending off and were up 10 at 59-49. So they needed 4 points and we needed 14. Ended the game on a 14-0 run to get the come from behind win.

Gritty defense got it done. Kane was spectacular on that end of the floor.

You were definitely right about McGee. Played a huge part in yesterday's game even before hitting the winning 3.
