I don't think race has anything to do with how good you are. There are talented players white and black. It's simply who you recruit or don't recruit. I count 6 of our 13 scholarship players as being black which is virtually half. I don't care if they are all black or all white just win.
That?s 100% correct. Now look at it from a view of hard statistical evidence. That Flagg kid going to Duke is white and the best HS player in the country. He is one of the 2 white kids in the top 25. Black males are 7% of the US population, white males are 33% of the US population. So if 7% produces over 90% of the best players that group is unquestionably better at basketball.
The reason has nothing to do with race per se, it?s just an easy identifiable marker of potential success. If I say I catch more when I cast my bait into water than into a tree, it?s not because I hate trees, it is because all evidence has shown there are more fish in the water than in a tree.
Statistically, the odds of having a majority white basketball team that is championship quality is near zero. It?s like saying there are really good basketball players under 5?10?, but I don?t think you want 8 of those short guys on your roster.
