  • Kickoff at 7pm.

Tonight's lineup appears to have no true centerback:

Pannholzer, Godard, Linekar, Holmes, Kong, Taimu, Pinto, Simon, Strevengard, Janjic in goal and the left wing who started for Godard last match.

    Large crowd is on hand.

  • Janjic lazy pass intercepted and put back into the net.  Absolutely gifted them that one.

Not the first goal this season given up by sloppy play in and around our 18 yd box.

Slow, plodding with lack of urgency

Lack explosiveness which makes us easy to defend

    Boom! 1-1

    Let?s see some urgency

Come on guys wake up and attack

  • Tremendous save to keep it tied.  USC one-on-one in the box with our keeper and the goaltender made an unbelievable kick save from 12 yards out.  We just hit the crossbar.

  • Stjeerngard with a blast off the top rail that would have put us up 1.  Nice looking shot.

  • Good test on the road against a quality team.  Would be a good way to start the conference season.

Grassie and company have to get the repeated loose, lazy play in our defensive third cleaned up.

  • Herd will never win another title until they can play in the back like the title winning team.  Those guys were great during the ncaa run.

  • 8 straight wins over USC.

This is a big win. I honestly think USC will factor into the standings this year and they are going to keep points from someone in the conference race... it just won't be us this year!

Three straight at home against decent Virginia teams... OOC vs VCU on Wednesday, then hosting ODU and JMU.  Need to get those conference wins at home given how brutal our back half of the schedule is.

  • Agreed, really nice win over a conference foe.  Tough game, not sure we played as good as we can, but good enough to be a team without a loss at their place.  Hope we can build on this and keep improving.

  • Observations:

    1) Great win!

    2) Head Ref was terrible

    3) Played much better in 2nd half. Play like that and we can be quite good, especially if we get rotation sorted out.

I'm sorry no way we win a natty in a regular year. We haven't even remotely had the same success as we did that year. That is a fact. It doesn't mean we aren't good
