Better on offense this year.  Today Earle looked better.  ST is weak, very poor.  Defense was better last year except d line.

I felt exactly the same way after Virginia Tech but I thought the offense looked good today. The defense is getting smoked but it's Ohio State. I guess we'll all find out what kind of team we have next week.

i know it was OSU, but we probably don't get anything close to this level of effort the rest of the season

You know this after 3 seasons?  Your attitude sucks.  So typical of Huntington.  Marshall played well.  They didn?t play out of their minds.  It was a solid effort. They have nothing to be ashamed of, even the tackling, which looked poor because of course it does against that team. 

Marshall looked a good bit better than Akron or W Michigan.  And OSU should have been solid in game 3.  Marshall improved greatly weak 2-3.  Are we JMU?  Highly doubtful.  But there is zero reason to expect that that game won?t be for the division title if Earle is heathy.

we're not a bad team nor a good one.  Earle and the OL looked good for the most part and showed they can move the ball effectively- can they string some drives together?.  DL wasn't bad.  speed kills.  speed and strength kills and kills and kills.  nobody is going to tackle OS very well.  we're capable of doing some damage in the SBC

If we are bad, then what do you call Ohio U who lost to an unranked UK today 41-6 and Arkansas state is losing in the #20 Iowa State in the fourth quarter 45-0. I am not happy that we lost, but we did lose to the number 3 ranked team. I understand your frustration, but I don't feel it is bad as you think.I never expected us to win today, but if some strange calls by officials weren't made, it would have a closer game in the first half. At least we showed we were somewhat competitive in the first half before OSU's depth and speed took over the game.

I'm not sure why all the comments.

If we play VT like we played the 1st 1/2 against OSU, the game is a lot closer. One thing that didn't help us is having such a weak opening game. SB was more like a scrimmage than a season game.  In essence, VT was our first game, and OSU our second. Most improvements happen between the first and second game. OSU, very well can be in the final four this year if they stay healthy.

Not sure, who else in the east will be a real challenge. Maybe CC. They look the most balanced. App. had a bad game, but the jury is still out. JMU, scored 70, UNC scored 50 on them. Their D is going to be their Achilles heel. It's way too early, but we can definitely compete for the east champ.

Once Ohio State plays a committed run offense with a physical and athletic defense they are going to be in major battle.  Michigan comes to mind bc they will commit to the run.  I?m not sure OSU will handle that well.  Our OL pushed them around.

I know we got hammered but I thought our line blocked well, skill players made good plays and Stone looked sharp. Had we played this way vs VTech, we win in my opinion.

Yes defense got torched but Ohio State has elite speed at every position that matters. The second they had an opening, they were gone.

I'm cautiously optimistic moving forward and I didn't feel that way after VaTech.

VTech losing to Rutgers now.  We just hit a buzzsaw of circumstances there.  But in the end VT might have lost to two of the worst "power" teams in FBS.

We played horrible on offense against VT. VT is not remotely in the same league as OSU from a talent standpoint. Today was a decent showing by the Herd.   We played them much better than 2010.
