  • We were never going to beat OSU. Our offense under Earl looks much much better and actually the best I've seen in years. The D looked bad today but OSU has speed and weapons galore. If the D plays like it did last week before the wore down and the offense plays like it did today we will be in the thick of the SB title.

  • I think it depends on injuries and if the offense continues to improve. Earle made a big jump today. Remember, he just showed up in June so he has been going through a learning curve and getting his timing down with the receivers. I think he can be an adequate QB for the system. If Earl gets hurt, then the season is over.

I thought we played well in the first half. OSU is not a good measuring stick for this team, too much speed and talent. We also got some really bad calls. Our offense was much better than the the two MAC teams OSU played which is encouraging.

  • I liked the burst of the 4th string rb today.  Gray Jr.  I like a future combo of him & Turner.  Turner should do well in SBC.  He can get 1k

  • You guys are giving the SB to much credit this year. Texas St is good but nobody else is any better than us on any given day. Our defense looked like trash today but OSU is going to make and G5 look like that. And our offense looked really good under Earl today.

  • JMU looks to be the best team by far at this point. App is still solid. The west has some solid teams.
Have to keep getting better on offense to come close to winning this league. The next two weeks will tell us a lot.

JMU by far? Just curious why? Because they beat a bad UNC team that turned it over all day? They beat Gardner Webb 13-7. I don't see them as being anything special. And App St is not good and has Swiss cheese for defense.

The receivers also made a big move. They caught the balls they dropped in Blacksburg.

JMU based on what? Is it because NC started their 3rd string quarterback, who dropped 50 on them?

They struggled through the first three games, thankfully; their competition has not been that tough. Even next week will be fairly easy with Ball st.

CC will give them a real challenge.
