You mean like having more God-given natural talent than any athlete I've ever seen?  I hope everything works out for him in the best way it can, but i don't think he's faced a lot of adversity in his life.  This is a guy that skipped warmups and just went out there and did what he did and got attention and money for doing it.  Again, I hope he gets well and I love the guy but I can't say he's overcome difficult odds.  Just seems like a weird statement.

I wouldn't have said he's "overcome some of the most difficult odds in his life" but, I mean, even with immense physical gifts, you don't make it out of an impoverished single-parent household to become a 1st ballot NFL Hall of Famer without overcoming some odds.

That's a good point.  But I think it was pretty renowned that he was special from an early age and certainly by high school.  The community lifted him up and out of what was probably a lot tougher situation for a lot of other kids in the same predicament from that area.  It's neither here nor there, just struck me funny.  Randy made it looks so easy it's hard to picture him struggling with anything.

Thank you for your sanity. People are so misguided to believe that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches alll of us all day and every day and listens to trillions of prayers. I'm a cancer survivor and if, there is a God, I thank him for allowing me to be near one of the best hospitals in the world with the best doctors.

That'd be my guess as well.  If you are male and over 40, you should get a PSA test done when you have blood work with your annual evaluation.  Saved my life.  Early detection makes prostate cancer almost 100% survivable.  Hope they caught Randy's early.
