Reliable to me.  They've never steered me wrong.  Was told there still some moving parts so it's not a lock so I won't name names, but it appears that Charles Huff is gone and had we lost to JMU he'd already be at Southern Miss.

Very interesting. Hopefully someone the fans can get behind. Is this person a current head coach somewhere or can?t give that info out?

I?m both excited and worried about herd footballs immediate future. Next season could be a disaster. Long term we will be fine, with or without huff.

What a tired, typical Marshall hire.  Oklahoma hires an up and coming 29 year old highly regarded offensive minded guy for their OC.  FAU hires the youngest guy in FBS....another offensive minded and well developed kid.  We go out and get a 50 something year old guy whose last HC job was in high school.  At least get some young, hungry blood in here.

If comparing it to the hiring of Doc or Huff this would be a major upgrade based off their resumes BEFORE getting the job.

If it is Gibson, I have the same no to the unnamed school from the North's faithful.  If is TG, as least include a Doc like clause where the buyout for going to the abomination to the North is substantially higher than other schools.

I don't agree that BL would be a good hire.
No college experience is a biggie.
RR won't fly for a lot of reasons.

I'm skeptical regarding having a defensive coach. Does he bring an offense with him or would it be someone like Doc or Huff who had to go shop for one?

But at least he's a DC from a P4.

No matter who it is fans will line up behind them because they always do until they see the failures. Day one will be a little concerned, day two there will be reasons why he might be the right hire and then day 3 and after he will be a rock star.

Rich was never a real option.  There are some donors that are RR fans that keep trying to get him back in the state.  Just like thry tried to convince Brad to hire Huggins last year

We also don't know what Rich would take the job.  He just signed and extension with a 4.8M buyout and if he stays on track he'll be back at a P4.

Fair enough. Just stating they have been mentioned by others. Gibson is not exciting comparing him to them.

Was he the DC a few years ago (maybe last year) when our offense hung 40+ on them with Fancher as QB? If so, that?s alarming.
