  • IMO would be an outstanding choice, if he would come.  There?s a rumor he?s interviewing in Charlotte.

Which likely means he wasn't the first choice.
Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions.  Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.  Mark Twain

  • His final years at Louisville and Mizzou State were not good. He's getting old and not much evidence he's still got it. Certainly not as a head coach.

Best case is we have a good year and he leaves. Worst case is he has little success and crashes a motorcycle with a coed into Pullman Square.

  • And Petrino would have the same risk as Rich Rod on embarassing a program.
I don't like to lose, and that isn't so much because it is just a football game, but because defeat means the failure to reach your objective. I don't want a football player who doesn't take defeat to heart, who laughs it off with the thought, 'Oh, well, there's another Saturday.' The trouble in American life today, in business as well as in sports, is that too many people are afraid of competition. The result is that in some circles people have come to sneer at success if it costs hard work and training and sacrifice.- Knute Rockne

    Actually, more so.
In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.

Gibson was their first choice.  He turned them down to take our job.  Then they went with Petrino and he said no.  I can't recall if they went to a third option and they turned them down too, but I saw a recent report that they will most likely be elevating their interim HC to HC.
