Agreed. Would rather take the risk on an up and coming FCS HC than an older coordinator

Doc was never a coordinator.

Lee Moon was the last decent AD we have had.  Real deficit in managing athletics with bad hires and keeping bad hires way too long.  The programs would be in much better shape if they had been managed better the last 15+ years.

WVU has had two brushes with greatness in 50 years.  Just what exactly we see in their leaders I simply don't understand.  They had the ND game in '88? and the bowl Bill Stewart won which was the same year they lost to Pitt and foiled their national champ hopes, i believe? But I could be mixing my games up as I don't follow them.

Like most, I?m so tired of Marshall?s lackluster hires, no real searches, etc. If Gibson is hired, fans can boycott from the get go. Home schedule for the next several years is going to be meh anyway. 😝

We shall see in time. I recall many questioning Huff's hiring since he had never been a HC or coordinator.  Ego's are huge at this level and spin is sometimes the game.
