HAHAHAHAHA!!! You know what this reminds me of.

Remember when we joined the Sun Belt...but came out and said we are not sure if we are going to join the Sun Belt...but everyone alive knew that was the best decision...and that we probably were...definitely were...but we just kept dragging it out and dragging it out to the point it was painful, painfully obvious, and embarrassing...we talked about our "brand" and how many "options" we had.

Now I get it that they can't say anything yet...but let's not believe all of the "no decisions have been made" stuff. I'm sure Huff will be doing an introductory press conference at Southern Miss on Monday 12/9 and the next day we'll announce TG as new HFC.

Also heard from a reputable source that Huff has turned down TWO matching offers to what USM had offered him.  But mama Huff wants out of Huntington.  The person I heard from would know.  That's all I'll say.

at this point, if said "athletic contract" was an extension for CH, it'd be an offer that CH/agent would've indicated they'd sign & there'd be no reason to delay an announcement

^^^ THIS. It's probably going to be a Sunday (12/8) Huff/MU announces he's leaving, Monday (12/9) Huff press conference at Southern Miss, Tuesday (12/10) Gibson Press Conference at Marshall. I wouldn't be surprised if the exact times (down to the minute) of the following week's events aren't set by Friday evening.

If that was the case why not wait till next Mon or Tues to vote on the contract? You are only letting the Players have false hope by drafting the contract early.
