Its really hard to believe he cant get a better gig than Southern Miss coming off a Sunbelt Championship. Pretty sad really. They are currently one of the 5 worst FBS programs in the country. Just proves that he didnt have any other options available to him.

I think this is going to be a disaster for Huff...I lot of good smart coaches (at the time) end up looking horrible at Southern Miss. It might be a disaster for us as well. Really a case of pride by both parties ruining a good thing.

How can Marshall screw a guy with no contract/buyout in place from finding whatever job he wants? He's free to go anywhere, we didn't block him from a better job somehow. Whoever wants him gets him free and clear.

That says it all about the situation. Southern has a jet and Brad has his single engine Cessna trainer plane. LOL

Will Marshall never learns! Shades of Dan and Doc giving a 6 year contract to the new coach. If Gibson is bad hire, we are stuck with him since Marshall never buys out contracts.
