Topic: Get to Know the 3-3-5

TG is a 3-3-5 defense guy.  Does he bring it to Marshall?  Smaller but faster players with a lot of blitz packages.  Seems to fit us.

Not sure what I think about it. Obviously need a stud nose guard and LBs. Can he get those guys here?

I definitely think he'll bring it. Never been a fan of it.

Huff got us getting multiple guys drafted again hopefully new HC will be able to continue this.

Seems to me TG will need studs at NG and both T.  Small but fast LBs and a bunch of DBs.

Will be hard to compete with the D Line that Huff has been able to have over the years. Especially in the 3-3-5 base. Not saying it can't be done but Huff / Gibson seem like 2 different personalities. Huff seems to have a little swag that his D Line always seemed to play with.

For 20 years we've always had at one an edge that could affect the outcome of a game, too.  That I'd like to see continue, even though it might be a linebacker in this system.

One thing I always liked about Pruett was recruiting running backs all the time and the ones that couldn't carry a ball he converted to LB.  We got some hard-nosed hitters out of those guys.  We had speed on those defenses.
