Have looked at Many options to get there, time is available, but candidly, this would be a Most Expensive trip.  Not a good opportunity financially for Herd fans, hope many can do it to support the team.

Dallas to Shreveport is less than 3 hour drive as an option for some, maybe

Fortunately I'm about five hours driving distance closer and it makes it just barely within driving distance for me.  I've driven further to Herd games before but I'm also not as young as I used to be either.

I thought about it and if we had our roster and could be competitive, I'd probably go.  But, the travel options absolutely suck.  I could drive 13 hours but I'm an old fart and that's not a one day drive for me anymore.  Flights out of Charleston or Huntington to Shreveport were on the order of $700-800.  I could drive to Charlotte and fly to Dallas for about $300 but that's a 4 1/2 hour drive to Charlotte, the flight, and then a two hour drive from Dallas to Shreveport with a rental so I likely wouldn't save much money.  In other words, no matter what I do, I'm looking at about $1,500 in expenses and a travel schedule that's not great.  All to watch our third string get clobbered by Army.

If one of the local travel agencies puts together a package that's reasonable, I might reconsider.
