  • Best they have looked all year. Need to keep fine tuning and getting more consistancy out of Obinna. At least he isn't jacking up 8 3s a game like he did in previous years. Need for Speer to keep getting better also as the season goes. This league is very winnable and just terrible this year. Lamar beat Louisiana by 30 tonight. High point beat App State. The scores are embarrassing every night out from this league. No reason at all we shouldn't win this league. Just keep getting better.

  • The Sun Belt isn't very good at all which is why we should be more devoted as an athletic program to having a championship men's basketball program.

Corny needs a chance. But he needs another quality recruiter/connected assistant coach on the bench. Fulford will help us and Adam Williams works hard on the high school circuit. White and Moore weren't horrible gets by him. We have another assistant that I can't name his last recruit.

Corny stated on his post-game that we didn't shoot as many threes and he thinks as a coaching staff that they need to really look at that and start developing more mid-range game. I hear some say they miss listening to Dan. I don't. I think Corny handles himself well and is candid and on point on questions that are asked.

Corny does far more coaching on the sideline during games. He will challenge players. He communicates more to the players throughout the game. To me, he has some refreshing qualities.

I hope we can get him some support thru NIL. He is going to need it after this season. But we, as a school, should be thinking more about building a championship program. He needs to move some players off the bench to other schools. I actually wish more would have left last season and we could have worked the portal/JUCO for two more players. Speer, Mingo, the one Gibbs and Dawson have been good finds for this season. I think we really needed one more post/forward type player from the portal for this year's team.

Devoting to going to the NCAA tournament has great benefits. We seem to always invest in football and seem in a lot of seasons to end up in some 6-6/7-5 bowl game that no one watches. I think would be easier for us to contend yearly for a basketball title in this league in my opinion. I especially think that is true after watching all this helter-skelter that is going on right now with football.

I couldn't agree more. This league is begging to be dominated.

I'm encouraged by yesterday, as Ohio has been a cut above us in the past 10-20 years, and we beat them handily.

Hopefully the reason Speer hasn't been starting is due to recovery from injury, because we are a MUCH better team with him in the lineup and Mingo at PG.

Moore and White need more minutes over Nutter, as he tries hard but he isn't a DI player (should only get garbage time minutes)

Fricks has to step his game up or Corny needs to bring Harding along as quickly as possible to spell Obinna and Nate

Not trying to take away from our win because we played our best game this year. But this is probably the weakest OU team I've seen in a long time. But the good news is we won't face anyone better than them the rest of the season outside of maybe Elon and Arkansas St. the SB is really that bad.

  • Marshall wins 79-70. We needed that.

Easy win on Monday. Then a very winnable road game vs. Southern Miss.

You say that like everything in the known universe isn't riding on beating the shite out of Southern Miss however we can, whenever we can.

  • I like Nutter's play. The one negative, at least to me, is that he won't shoot when he is wide open. I would like to see the two freshmen get more playing time.

I have no idea what you are trying to say here.

Southern Miss isn't very good. But it is on the road and we haven't been knocking it out of the park on the road. Hopefully a healthy Martin is a go and we get the win.

I am on to basketball. Still wondering why we didn't hire a 4th assistant to replace Caldwell. I thought the money would be available since we knocked the head coaching pay down. Another recruiter on the sideline.....another guy with some connections to AAU programs, quality private academies & schools.....it would seem fair to Corny. I guess a lot of others disagree, including leadership.
