  • What voice did Gibson have in quitting and cancelling the Bowl game? If you say none, I don?t believe you. If he was for it, he?s starting off on a bad note with me. We?ll likely never know how it all went down, other than from our ?insiders? here. But I don?t like a coach who is willing to quit just because it?s difficult.

I really don?t want to debate whether it was the right decision, just what part do you thing Gibson had.

I'd bet "none", he isn't really an employee until January.  And he stated in his presser that he'd be an observer in the prep and the bowl game. Why wouldn't he want a two week, additional, evaluation period to help him decide who to "offer" to stay on the / his first team.

  • %^&* show for a while other than the actual team play on field and title.  Let's see how long they can stretch blaming everything on Huff.

I think Gibson had zero part in the decision. Again , he is not an employee until January. Why would you choose to implicate him in this decision without any information to substantiate it.

Because that's what people do when there is a lack of information.
Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions.  Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.  Mark Twain

  • We have heard about the lack of players, could it be possible that the lack of coaches was a bigger factor?

  • i'm not sure i buy that TG isn't an "employee" right now.

i doubt he's spending countless hours recruiting players & coaches for free.

  • I don't believe that they did not ask for his input or opinion. I'm not saying he had a deciding vote, but they just handed the keys to the program to him and the next thing they do is cancel the biggest bowl opportunity in Marshall history. I think they asked what he thought.

I've heard it's both. We didn't have enough players, and even if we cobbled together a team, we don't have enough coaches.

    FWIW

Facts don't care about your feelings.  He was informed of the decision and that is the extent of it.  There was no need to involve him in the process as he is not the coach and has no say in the running of the program at this point.
