  • It is quite difficult to find good, up to date information regarding Marshall, MBB, FB, Marching Thunder and many other things related. Why is that?
Other than Thundercast (and I'm not being critical of them!!!), there doesn't even appear anyone is interested in having a YouTube channel. The school up north seems to have many, many of them. I've only seen a couple relating coach Gibson about MU. I don't do "X", so I have no idea what is on there.

  • Someone posted why do Marshall fans follow two or three programs and I said part of it is because Marshall gets very little coverage and if you are the type of fanatic fan your team is rarely featured on even YouTube let alone major sports media like ESPN, Foxsports et cetera and when you have non stop sports coverage and content everywhere you look and crickets chirping when it comes to Marshall.

That?s why I?m grateful for the Thundercast, Luke (hope there?s a quality replacement), the Rivals podcast and Herdfans.com

Marshall has a couple Official Youtube channels, 1 for sports;  it mainly broadcasts pre and post press conferences

As far as private parties making YouTube content that?s done for money or passion.  Sometimes a combination of both.

You?re not going to make much money and the fanbase has some real loons that you have to deal with when you?re putting yourself out there for everyone to judge and comment about. So is it really worth all the time, research, recording, editing and producing for a few hundred views

I personally think the Thundercast does a great job and goes above and beyond covering all things Marshall and they have positivity in their show, which I greatly appreciate.

Running with the Herd is the Rivals version, it?s worth a listen.  They interview opponents media and Herd recruits.

There are several Sunbelt conference channels that will give the Herd a few minutes of coverage.
