  • Same trends as 3-4 weeks ago. Down 36-22 ( UC on a 14-3 run ) at Half.
New recruits just don't have it. Even #6 still going in with the trees only to have the ball tied up. Herd 4-12 at the FT stripe.

  • Scrappy team, cut it to one and had possession at the end but couldn't convert!  We just need some size, getting out rebounded badly. We give up entirely too many offensive rebounds. She is recruiting some size to bring in here next year.

  • I think we have a good coach. I think the future is bright.

  • A coach isn't out there playing. But the continual gaffs game after game are a reflection on the skills of a coach. We've won some close ones but lost more of them than we have won.

Mellione is needed as an experienced PG. Outside of that King and Ingram seem to have potential. Not sure the remainder of the recruits. But the veterans also are turning the ball over way too much. Combine that with being beaten like a rented mule on the boards ... we are physical but giving away too much height. They did a good job on UC star center tonight I thought but the other UC players got too many rebounds and loose balls.

40% from the FT line and a team will lose most times out. Normally we make our share, not sure what happened with that.

  • sometimes Hayes and Mays try to do too much and force the ball.  part of that is due to teammates not stepping up.
can't let a team get so many second or more chances off offensive rebounds.  confirmed- this team is limited in the paint on both ends that only talent, athletic ability and IQ will cure.  most of the time, good perimeter shooting cannot carry the day by itself.   but like coach said, free throws could have easily won this game

  • The girls need more height, outrebounded tonight by a ton hurt the chance to win. Also FT shooting needs to be addressed quickly  or even the conference games could slip away.

If they make only half of the foul shots they missed, they win.

They are gutsy, but very small.
