Hillbilly said Gibson doesn?t have an X account, which is worrying to me.

I didn?t notice Gibson having a history as a recruiting coordinator?  I would think there is a big difference between recruiting 10 defensive players a year than recruiting 75% of a team.

It?s prime portal recruiting time, get the good players before they re committed.  Huff seems to be putting a lot off energy and effort into a big recruiting weekend.

He was a recruiting coordinator for RR for wvu in 2007 (finished 24 in the nation in recruiting class)

Was considered in 2018 by Street and Smith as one of the hottest recruiters in the nation.

Recruiting has changed the last five years, but it sounds like his group is out and trying to build their team.

I doubt we'll hear much of anything until early January. Between bowl season, and coaches still coaching, there's also generally not much in the way of HR stuff going on the week of Christmas and New Years.

Do you guys find it interesting that Rod isn?t following Rich to WVU? It seems like that has been his history to reconnect with Rich each time he has secured a job.

Here is my 2 cents.  Rod Smith is probably wanting to become a head coach one day. No way to do that when your offense is successful and Rich Rod gets all the glory.  He had to separate himself from Rich to take the next step.

This.  Time to call his own plays. RR was always the play caller now Rod gets a chance.  I hope it works

I heard RR speak and he said that thanks to private donors he has the reasources to hire the best coaches on his staff.  So apparently RR didn?t offer Rod Smith.

Read above.  RR notoriously calls his own plays even with having an OC.  He wants to become his own man.

Maybe but I think the difference money would be worth dealing with sharing play calling because last years OC made 725k.  I figure with more money pledged the OC might get a million or more.
