  • Jalil Riviera Harvey a 6'3 310 LB  defensive tackle commited. Prior year at Marshall, transferring back from WKU.  Prior JUCO so with recent ruling should recover JUCO years.

I don't like to lose, and that isn't so much because it is just a football game, but because defeat means the failure to reach your objective. I don't want a football player who doesn't take defeat to heart, who laughs it off with the thought, 'Oh, well, there's another Saturday.' The trouble in American life today, in business as well as in sports, is that too many people are afraid of competition. The result is that in some circles people have come to sneer at success if it costs hard work and training and sacrifice.- Knute Rockne

  • Good get?

Rivera, Biggs what are we just going out and getting people that were once here and left? What is Zamora next?

Early Lazy recruiting if you ask me.

  • He was here and contributed to the best defense we had under Huff when Guidry was DC.  Left when Guidry did and now coming back.  I think he will contribute to a very good defense next year.

Don't you dare criticize recruiting. Every player will be a great get.

He only played the year after Guidry left. Finished 19th in tackles on our 2023 team. Only 6 tackles for WKU in 2024.

  • I don?t believe the juco ruling is a blanket coverage.  I believe it was for just the 1 athlete right now.  I hope it does become blanket.  I love jucos.

If it does then they would have 7 years to.play 6. Would it hurt D2 and D3 programs?

Idk impact on D2 or D3.  D1 it?s nice.  I think it hurts HS most.

Correct, it is just an injunction granted for the QB for Vanderbilt to play next year.
The court will look over his case and you can bet the ruling will impact JUCO/CC years of eligibility for D1 sports.

I think it will hurt the G5.  If your goal is to both play big time college football and collect NIL, don?t go G5, go JC and develop.

It will be interesting.  But the best G5 should be getting the 2nd/3rd teamers that maybe started briefly from P4s.  Huff style. Juco guys could always come that way.  HS kids better get ready for juco.  And it?s not a bad idea.
