Cannon Lewis, LB committed to Marshall.  Transfer portal from N.C. State.  Cabell Midland H.S.  Looks like he redshirted at NC State this year as a Freshman.

FYI: I just checked his stats for 2024. If ESPN has the correct data; he had one solo tackle and one assisted tackle and he played in two games for NCSU.

That?s correct. Another P4 transfer that wasn?t playing.  It worked for Huff, hopefully works for Gibson.

That?s correct. Another P4 transfer that wasn?t playing.  It worked for Huff, hopefully works for Gibson.

I am not knocking Lewis or Gibson.  Not defending Huff, but a lot of his transfers were upper classmen who had playing experience like Roberts; the WR from Michigan State ect; some didn't have much playing time. No need for you to be defensive, I was just pointing Lewis' college experience. Lewis was a true freshman so maybe he was being red shirted?

It looks like a good pickup.  A local kid that was a 3-star prospect coming out of high school.  His weight is listed at 225, so that is a good weight for a linebacker.  Plus he knows Gibson's defense.  I don't see a downside to the signing him.

The one time we made the tournament in what feels like a million years was on the back of 304 guys.

I watched a lot of this kid over his four years at Midland. He is a solid linebacker that does a great job of plugging holes and making plays. The Midland-Ironton game is on you tube for anybody that wants to see him play. In that game he was dominant.

Well the bed was fun this year and independence bowl would have been great.  Huff made his bed into a raise.  I look forward to our bed next year! Even better than a SBC title! Let's go!!
