  • Several years ago, there was a concert somewhere near the stadium (as best I remember) from some pretty famous guy and his group up on a stage and the MU drumline joined in with him and his band. It was really good and I enjoyed listening to it. Do either of you remember who the group was?

  • I remember there being a concert with a talented if not particularly well-known band at the Joan. There was a video on YouTube with I believe one song. Some of the MU cheerleaders were involved IIRC. I was not there.

Yes, it was at the Joan, but I don't remember cheerleaders. I believe it was more of a country group. The lead singer wanted the drum section to come up on stage and play with them and they did. I don't remember any other part of the marching band being there.
I just can't remember the one YouTube music video or group that it was, but I really enjoyed it.

if it was Aaron- I was there.  He did a great job.  The reason it did not stand out to me was, they had a 'concert' before all the home games, first over on 20th street and then over by the  SW entrance.  WTCR use to sponsor them and bring a 'higher' class act to preform.  I think after the game they stayed and played at a venue(Sharkeys?) in Huntington somewhere.
Aaron did this song as it stood out to me, he had some songs that charted I remember Aaron name as thats my Dad's name.
