Anyone know the story on this?  The decline of performance and the weirdly timed extension were discussed on this board a little bit.

This is a good move for her, and the university.  If you've watched this sport, you've quickly recognized the significant difference in the length of the good teams and the teams she fielded. It is possible that she couldn't get the ladies needed to come to MU; I'm not judging that. But the final result, particularly against the SBC, was pretty abysmal.

Now, AD Spears needs pick up a quality coach like he did for Women's Basketball (Kim) and get this program back on its winning ways.  A coach that can recruit talent and height.

As stated in a previous post, check out the coaches at Towson, Delaware, or Coppin.

I like the Towson coach's resume and the length of his roster the most.

Good. We need the program to be strong again.

In the last twelve months, we have two SB league championships, an individual winner in cross country, a national runner up in soccer and a new baseball facility.

Not bad for little ole Marshall.

HC with international connections.  Herd needs that.  But more importantly need a major uptick in athleticism. A school like MU needs an international presence at many of their Olympic sports that have good funding. (VB, TF, Tennis etc).

She has been canned and IF the AD is canned bc they are tied together. The AD was def not a good decision maker and now our championship football coach is gone & pd less at a rival in conference school.  🤦‍♀️

Huff being gone is more on Smith than Spears.  This was a Smith/BOG decision more than a Spears decision.  Also, the hire of Gibson was not a Spears move.
