  • Huff being gone is more on Smith than Spears.  This was a Smith/BOG decision more than a Spears decision.  Also, the hire of Gibson was not a Spears move.

Who was giving Smith the info on Huff and his do abouts??  The AD I would think.  If our AD gets canned, released whatever ..... this all looks even worse.
AD & Admin fell 😴 - they doubted Huff and he rocked them.

  • Now, AD Spears needs pick up a quality coach like he did for Women's Basketball (Kim) and get this program back on its winning ways.  A coach that can recruit talent and height.

    Good Luck, Christian.  Go get'em.

Hopefully he makes his decision with his head.

Bio says he's a Marshall grad who was with WMUL now working for the main sports talk radio station in Topeka. Sounds legit.

Found the below link. Spencer is a Marshall grad and sports director of WRNR in Martinsburg.

"Spencer DuPuis has been with TalkRadio WRNR and TV10 since June of 2021 working in sports, news and with TV10. He went full time as the station?s Sports Director and an On-Air Talent in August 2021. He hosts The Sports Mix from 12-1 and 5-6 with his former college radio colleague Nick Verzolini."

  • So you guys are saying Spears was banging the VB coach and that?s why she go an extension, now it has been found out and she?s been fired?  Just want to eliminate the ambiguity.

I did not say that, but I also did not, not say that. She won?t be the only to fall.

  • I know for a fact she resigned on her own, she was not forced to resign.
But your flag decal won't get you into Heaven any more.
They're already overcrowded from your dirty little war.
Now Jesus don't like killin' no matter what the reason's for,
And your flag decal won't get you into Heaven any more.

  • Give it about a week and you?ll understand why she?s resigned. I?m not necessarily at liberty to share, but things in the athletic department are gonna get ugly and messy before they get better.
I am a casual MU Volleyball fan at best. With that being said, regardless of why she left, her being gone is best for the Marshall University Volleyball team. From what I witnessed, the Volleyball program took several steps backwards while she was the head coach.

  • I think Spears is next. To big of a sh!t show in Marshall athletics right now. That would be great for Marshall, but short term would add to the chaos.

I believe it. And not only does it look that way to most Herd Fans, it looks that way to the Sun Belt, it's teams, and their fans, and beyond that...we look that way nationally the few times we get in the news - especially here of late. Honestly it's kind of embarrassing we're this incompetent.
