Topic: Lineup changes?

Ok, so what will it be?  There have been a couple of threads guessing but now the team is in Birmingham.  Kick-off is less than 24 hours away.  Here are mine:

1.  Bernard will start at QB but we will see Skinner or Devine quickly if the offense sputters again.  I personally would like to see Berdain but I think it will be one of the other two.
2.  Hiram won't see the field at all (and I like HM, I don't know what is going on with him.)
3.  Fitz will be thrown to quite a bit and so will Bradshaw.
4.  Matt Morris will get some serious playing time as well.
5.  Thornton will play the most he has all season.  
6.  At least 3 redshirts will be burned tomorrow (probably on D.)  We are only half way through the season and this year can still be a winning year.  

And for my bold prediction.....if the offense and defense perform the way they have one of our coordinators will not make it to homecoming as one of our coaches.

1 and 2 go together with the comment about the coach on the hot seat.  There is a problem with the O, whether it is the QB, WR's or coaching we have a problem.  The numbers have been bad, with the exception of the running game.  

While some of you have felt the O playcalling and personal changes are to blame,  I disagree somewhat.  I see plays that are there that aren't being excuted.  

At QB,  BM has had his moments this season.  Both good and not good.  Almost every game if not all games someone dropped a pass and some in very important times.  Even the SMU game he threw a pass that was dropped (sorta) but was lucky enough to have someone behind him.  Also, the bad second half last week.


As far as the rest,  changes need to happen most notible on the D side.  I just don't know if pulling RS is the thing to do.  I will admit I haven't seen a one of those kids doing anyhting but if it happens then I hope they make a difference.

I'm hoping for #5 to happen.  Also I'd like to see Beardain in at QB--I dont care if its just handoff to Bradshaw--and Morris split out wide for a series or two.  Beardain needs to start get a rep or two every game.  What could that hurt anyway?

I agree Wolf. I would love to see what Beardain could do with the #1's.

I was in Vegas and missed the game - what were the changes?

No use to burn a redshirt now unless theres an injury. We already have 7 games down. If a redshirt is burned it should be done 4th game or before. Id rather save the redshirts and maybe go theough another bad season then burn 4 just to have a mediocore season when the 4 can maybe start a run of good seasons again next year and have them for 4 yrs and not 3 and half.
