  • We need to sign a top QB.  Most critical position and we cannot go into next year with all of this turnover without an experienced QB.

  • We have 6 months to sign a QB.  We didn't even know who would be QB till halfway through the season and still won the conference.  It's not an emergency.  Get the right guy not the first guy.

Heard the same thing. If Gibson pulls the rabbit out of the hat on this one, I?ll become a devout believer.

  • And who did you "Hear"?

There is a rumor that Ohio State QB Air Noland was on campus yesterday for a visit. He was a 5* recruit coming out of high school.

FWIW: He is visiting SEC member South Carolina today.

  • We really need a former quarterback that?s a coach to join the staff and basically find us a kid with all the tools.  I don?t think we are in position to JUST buy a top QB.  I have heard the top QBs make more than Tony Gibson.

I wonder how much Doege had into the development of Stone and Braxton, because they both had very mediocre to bad game stats and IMO they played well above what they had put on paper, at least I believe that to be fair to say

You're in luck because Rod Smith was a QB.

  • My MD impersonation-

Why would we want this Air kid?  He has no stats, 5th on the depth chart. That would be underselling the program.

  • Zion Turner a QB from Jacksonville Statr announced he is entering the portal.  Backstory reminds me some of Braxton at Tulsa.

I don't like to lose, and that isn't so much because it is just a football game, but because defeat means the failure to reach your objective. I don't want a football player who doesn't take defeat to heart, who laughs it off with the thought, 'Oh, well, there's another Saturday.' The trouble in American life today, in business as well as in sports, is that too many people are afraid of competition. The result is that in some circles people have come to sneer at success if it costs hard work and training and sacrifice.- Knute Rockne

Our new offensive coordinator was his coach right?  You?d think we?d be in a favorable place to land him, unless WVU offers him.

  • Smith was his OC and he just announced he was entering the portal after Smith accepted the Marshall job.  May just be coincidence but interesting.
