We are on the road to open conference play against a 4-7 Southern Miss squad. It is time to get this thing going and build off the Ohio U game.

We need to win this. I don't want to give Huff one more thing to chirp about. And what I heard today, I am surprised that Spears is still employed here.

Hopefully this school will try to give Corny more resources.....not less.....to try and get this program where it should be. The team has had a lot of time to prepare for this one. With the new conference tournament format, every conference game means something.

I am tired of holding on to my memories of the '80s, holding on to the potential that was left us in 2010 and the season in March of 2018. I would hope we would start having a higher drive to win championships in a conference right now that is made to win a championship.

We need to start conference play off on the right foot today. Let's Go Herd.

If we lose this game the whole team should stay in miss. S Miss is just plain awful getting beat by 30 points multiple times and even losing to nobodies. They are worse than their football team.

You can't have a 4th year senior start the game by going 0 for 2 from the Free Throw line, and then come down and jack up an ill-advised three pointer.

We are really having a hard time finding someone that can guard Alvarez. We better adjust with our help defense real quick when he has the ball in his hands. Our bench players look a step slower than the Southern Miss players.

Martin and Mingo carrying a lot of the offensive load today. We need some other guys to step up.

We aren't helping and recovering well. We leave men wide open. Lucky they can shoot worth a crap or we would be further down that what we are.

The difference in the game is offensive rebounding.  Its as simple as hustle and boxing out.

We needed that 3 before the end of the half. At least down 8, we got the stop and got the three.

It really doesn't look good. Southern Miss can't shoot a lick but gets 12 offensive rebounds to our 2. We were out rebounded by a bigger and more athletic team by a margin of 23 to 11. As Mark Snyder said, we better "get that fixed".

We also still just stand on offense like we have been. They overplay us and we never cut to the basket. Why can't we at least cut more on offense?

You hit the nail on the head.  Fricks is way too weak to keep guys off the boards.  Their guy (Harris) is having his way against all of our bigs.  Rebound with intensity and purpose and we win this game going away.

I noticed during the Louisiana game he had trouble with one of his eyes. Today he is really talking out of the side of his mouth and is wincing that same eye.

Bells Palsy? I don't know.

Yes I have.

Better than jacking up threes with our percentage for the season in the 20% range. Get some of their bigs out of the game with fouls. It opens up the lane for dribble drive and post moves with their bigs out.
