    • It seems like using Bernie in the traditional triple option or run option doesn't work very well. Seems like everyone is figuring it out.

    What would be the best way to take advantage of his mobility?

    I'm thinking bootlegs, option passes where he rolls out away from the crowd.

    Opinions from you strategists?

    • I'd like to see them fake the option, then have him step back and throw it to a deep slanting Slate.  I love that play.

    • We need to have Bernie keep it sometime on the misdirection play.  Several times the last couple of games we had an opportunity for him to pull the ball from AB and have nothing but grass between him and the goal line.  I hate to say it because I don't like to say anything good about them but WVU runs that play extremely well.  As teams adjust to our offense during the year we need to adjust as well.

    • HF1999, I noticed that too yesterday.  Fake the misdirection handoff and keep it right, he could have had a big run yesterday.

    I don't know the scheming aspect of it, but I know florida does it well and nebraska used to break team's hearts with it.

    I've seen that play called at UCF, SMU and UAB near the redzone, and it blew up scoring opportunities.

    Too long to develop near the 20 - shouldn't be run.

    • It is a good play to run and we do have the horses to run it.

    But it just seems that we still need practice on the timing and execution of the play from the Oline to the key playmakers.
