MARSHALL RAN 46 times out of 58 offensive snaps in its 31-24 win over Alabama-Birmingham, and any Thundering Herd fan who whines about it should be tied down and slapped silly.

When your star back runs for 242 yards and his backup adds a 49-yard touchdown run, there’s nothing boring about that. And there’s even better news for Herd fans: There’s more of that coming to a “Joan” near you.

Ahmad Bradshaw, Chubb Small and Co. turn their attention to Memphis, which visits Joan C. Edwards Stadium at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The Tigers, 1-6 overall and 0-3 in Conference USA, have defended the run about as well as a Homecoming court.

Actually, the Tigers surrendered the “lead” in the league race for worst rush defense (to Rice, if you care) after giving up 135 yards to Tulsa on Saturday. But seeing that the Golden Hurricane won 35-14, I had a suspicion the defending champs worked the Tigers over more than the stats indicate.

Confirmed, on closer inspection. Tulsa hogged the ball 17 of the first 19 minutes, and ran at least well enough to allow Paul Smith to go 17-of-20 passing.

Wow, imagine that!!!   You have the best running back in the league and you run the ball!!!!   GENIOUS!!!!!

WE should have been running the ball 40-50x a game to begin with.

The O-line and Albin are making big holes for Bradshaw to run thru. IMO the main reason he is doing so well this yr is having Albin in there as a lead blocker. Watching the games you can see Albin clearing out the LB or sealing off the DE.
