  • If Holliday wasn't from WVU and was instead from Marshall, would you still think hiring Holliday is a bad decision?

  • Here's a better question. If Holliday did his undergrad at say Wake Forrest or Kentucky or UVA and had no connection to WVU would they be considering him?

  • Photo By: Are you taking the point of view that Doc Holliday is only being hired because of his ties to WVU and Manchin and the state wanting him to get the job?

  • I think politics very much is in this decision to even consider Holliday.

I think he's taking the point that if he was from any other school in the world, no one would have their panties in a wad.

  • My personal opinion and it is purely opinion is:

    1) Doc would recieve consideration because he has a good resume and is from Hurricane.

    2) WVU friendly politicians would love to have a WVU guy coaching at Marshall.

    3) Doc is a professional and while employeed by Marshall would be intensley loyal to Marshall.

    4) Deep down inside though nothing would make him happier than beating his alma mater and being asked to return.

PB, #2 and #4 IMHO is right dead on.
#1 sorry but a long resume doesn't make a good resume.
#3 I guess anyone could say "while their employed".

I do not support the hiring of the guy. Period.

  • Yeah I could see Holliday now taking the job here then winning against WVU a couple times then WVU firing Rod and then offering Doc a job at WVU and he taking it.

I can see that happening all the way.  WVU sucks!

Lets put this another way "I'll not Support Marshall Football while he is coach if hired"

Good way to look at it there

Everyone that says they refuse to support Holiday, just remember, you are also refusing to Support Marshall football if he's hired.

So get your Green and White Glassed off.

  • If a Marshall guy left Marshall for another school and eventually ended up at WVU, I would be pretty ticked at that coach.  I wouldn't sit back and think "ha ha WVU has a Marshall coach."  I would further my outrage at this coach.  Are WVU fans really going to be happy to have Holliday at Marsahll, or will they feel even more betrayed than they might already?  Or will most even care?  JMO

That's my 1st post on this board.  I'm so happy to be a "Prospect."

  • it's not just manchin.

kayo is friends with nehlen who is a friend of holidays.  kayo and nehlen used to coach together at canton mckinley about 40 years ago.

kayo listens to his friends.  remember, tubby is his friend.

with that said, i don't think kayo is dumb enough to do this hire.
