  • After MU scores, how about if they played the sound of a stampede getting louder as it gets closer, then kick into an extremely loud bolt of thunder.

It may work.  Let everyone know that the thunder after the stampede would be to start "The Thunderclap" and to clap when the thunder crashes.

  • I like the stampede and thunder . . . but I think it's time for the thunderclap to go the way of the dinosaur.

  • I've said this on many occasions, so I will repeat myself once more for my own amusement:

The "thunderclap" sounds like a severe case of VD.  For that reason alone, it should be tossed.

  • Thunderclap has to go. I don't like it at all. Gotta make something different.

  • Good idea with stampede and then the thunder sound but they have to get a new sound system for something like that. Just can't do that on ours. There is no base sound at all. Sounds like a transistor radio or something. It just sucks.

I agree. And I heard that we just got a new sound system a few years back......and I'm a little curious as to why it sounds like a 1950s sound system rather  than a 1990s. :???:  :???:  :???:

  • Actually, the system sounds better than it did a few years ago, but all they did is add new speakers to increase volume and no subs to improve the bass.

OK.  Stay with me Kenny.  Recently, a brand new invention was put on the market.  They're called "gloves."  I'll even include a picture so you can recognize them when you see them in the store.

Now, some people prefer another recent invention called "mittens."  Here's a pic of them.

  • Chemist, you don't know how much of a shudder goes through me to see that pic.  Let's just say I'm over 40 and my father had prostate cancer.

Yeah but given Kenny's obvious sexual frustration, I'd be worried about him doing the exam with both hands on my shoulders.

    ARRRRGGGHH....

Please.... I don't need word pictures like that so early in the morning... heck, make that anytime of day...

    Returning to the topic...

I'm more than a little suspicious that the stampede/thunder sound may be a little better in perception than in execution.

I prefer that the Marshall locomotive announce Marshall scores to the world via the loudest damn train horn known to man... one that draws the attention of the Enviornmental Protection Agency and causes stirrings in Washington for new legislation to contain the enthusiasm of Herd Nation.

I like it...All they need to do is get some of the audio out of the movie Dances With Wolves...If you've seen the movie you have to know the part that I'm talking about...The sound of the stampede of buffalo was loud as he!!...It would fit our needs nicely.

I'm with sturt - I want something so effin' loud that it knocks those fat a$$, domesticated groundhogs that populate the campus (aka - squirrels) out of their trees, and knocks the fat a$$, lazy, disheveled gumbas still out in the parking lot drinking their swill, largely b/c they're too lazy and cheap to buy a ticket and park their caboose in a seat.

      8-)
