First off, Marshall's economic position is putrid. It's little secret that Marshall DESPERATELY needs WVU at this stage. As usual, everybody wants big brother to babysit our retarded little brother on a Saturday night when we should be off on a hot date.

As if there isn't enough welfare in this state already, we have to support a bunch of envious nimrods who wear GREEN for obvious reasons.

The flagship university in this state (for the next 200 years+) surely doesn't need MU, so I cannot grasp how Marshall "does not need WVU" according various to MU forums. Yet for the past 5 years after MU bailed on this series, the ONLY ones pushing this series has been MARSHALL.......largely in the form of a whining and pleading Bob Pruett.

So which is it? Do you need WVU or not? For a bunch of Simpletons who claim MU does not need WVU, your "leaders" have done everything short of camp out on the governor's front lawn and BEG for a game. You BEG AND PLEAD for a game, yet you do not need WVU? Yeah, that's rich.

Secondly, some nimrod on this forum said WVU needed MU because there were 30,000 empty seats every game. When there were numerous sell-outs last year? Did you look at the average attendance? There weren't even 5,000 empty seats, let alone 30,000.

More fact-deprived nonsense from delusional MU fans.

Also, what is REALLY hilarious is this talk about Marshall expanding their stadium to 60,000 seats. What sense does this make when you can't even sell out your soup can of a stadium as it is, let alone doubling it in size?

Personally, no self-respecting WV citizen gives a damn about some insignificant also-ran program like Marshall who fears they'll go belly-up financially if they don't look to big brother for a hand-out.

I will agree with one thing Pruett said...........Marshall is indeed "taking over the state". Every CLEARANCE rack in every store from Bluefield to Buckhannon has a ton of MU gear.........half-off.

Take your "we don't need WVU" nonsense elsewhere. Without a game with WVU, you guys won't even have the funds to avoid NAIA within 5 years.

Most sports fans don't even know what state Mooshall is in, let alone give a damn about the programs.

That's a far cry from WVU, an Elite 8 program and one of the 20 winningest football programs in history.

Sounds like a pissed of Eer fan, crying in his beer becuase VT, Miami, and BC left him at the altar and he can't compete nationally. Let me see, Tennesee, Miami, Kansas State, Virgnia Tech, all gave us a 2 for 1 in the past 4 years. They have all been in the hunt for the National Championship the past 8 years. Where has WVU been? Not where these programs have been.

We survived for 82 years only playing once, we can survive another 82 years without playing. UT, Miami, Virginia Tech and Kansas State come to Huntington, and they, except for VT, aren't coming to CoachBurningTown. Jealousy Soprtsfan?

Keep fantasizing about the BCS scenario. That will work in your favor around the time that MU isn't sucking off the tailpipe of the WVU fun bus.
