p.s. Now, this is not the way, the fine people of the State of WVA are viewed. They, are generally, wonderful people, and a lot of them live here, all over the South.

OK heres some lil maps I put together just to show you why Mr David Hardesty nor Ed Pastilong want any part of this game. Its not that they are scared, its not that they are afraid, well yeah they are afraid, but not on the field more like in the pocketbook.

Befoore 1997 and while we were 1-AA this is a map that shows the territory which Marshall owned.

Now this is what WVU is afraid of and is basiclly refusing to play us, they know that if in 10 years we do half as good as we did our 1st 8 in I-A we will trump them.

The eleven teams you joined has a record of 23o wins an 379 loses. Looks like you jumped from cup cake conference toi a second.Yes 90 percent of your wins were against the  worst teams  in the country

It is inconceivable to me that someone whose team is in a conference that lost Virginia Tech, BC and Miami, FL and replaced them with Louisville, Cindy and South Florida would be criticizing anyone's conference.   I would engage you in further debate, but you've already made my point. Thanks.

Just ignore him folks.  When he finally graduates middle school and can make an articulate argument, then face him on facts.  Otherwise, just realize Junior didn't get his nap out and he's cranky.  He's nothing more than an ignorant poster with internet access.  His posts all have been inflammatory and short on substance.

what cracks me up about wvu fans is that they think we had the oppurtunity to jump from 1-aa to a bcs conference.BS, we have been division Ia for what 8 years, and not had a losing season, thats hard for anyone to do. So what if it was against mac schools, its not like we had much of a choice MORONS.

"If the Big East called Marshall tonight and said we want you to join our conference for ping-pong only, Marshall would jump at that chance just to be associated with the Big East anyway it can. Mike Tranghese could call Marcum right now and say, I'll consider you for inclusion if you suck my left nut on national television, and Marcum would be on a plane within the half-hour.

In your wildest dreams, you wish you were good enough to be in the Big East. You get on here and tell yourselves lies about how "weak" the Big East is and how you "really like CUSA better." The BS is so high in here you guys have to use snorkles just to breath. Tell yourselves what ever lies you need to so you can sleep at night, because that is all your rhetoric amounts to: LIES. You know what I say is the truth, but you can't be honest enough to admit your penis envy of WVU and the Big East. Every problem Marshall has, you idiots drum up some reason to blame WVU for it. Inititally the envy was flattering, but now it has taken on the appearance of the mad ravings of a lunatic. You are conspiracy theorists at best. Your lies are not even amusing anymore, they just show how desperate your program really is. With each new lie you put out for the media, it just makes your program look that much more desperate. Go become the new doormat for CUSA, because it is the best you will ever see in this lifetime or the next.

On WVU's worst day, I would rather be a Mountaineer than a "Herd-ite," or whatever you refer to yourselves as, on Marshall's best day. You are a bad season away from financial ruin, and that bad season is coming on strong. You claim you need a bigger stadium, yet you've never filled the 38,019 seats that you do have. Oh sure, you guys make up lies about how you sell out your stadium and that crap, but it just isn't true and you know it. You have a core fan base of about 20,000 fans, and they are all in the Huntington vicinity. Aside from Huntington residents and Marshall Alumni, nobody cares about you. If there were any caring from your "fans" at all, there would be a lot more donations to help your athletic department, but strangely, despite Bob Pruett's claims of taking over the Kanawha Valley, your college is still broke. If you have such a big fan following, how can that be?

Tell me, who is your most storied rival in football? You know, your arch nemesis, the program that you face year in and year out, the one you circle on your calendar that means more than any other. Oh, that's right, you have no rival. Ooops, I forgot Ohio University. Whew, you can hear the bad blood boiling in that feud. You guys are not important to anyone other than yourselves. You have invented a rivalry with WVU where none ever existed. It kills you that WVU can go year after year ignoring Marshall and continue to be just fine, yet Marshall NEEDS a rivalry so badly that it tries to create one with a school it never plays. You pray WVU plays Marshall because you need us for your very survival. WVU doesn't need to play you, nor does it care to. You are the unspoken joke at parties around the Big East. WVU can go on into enternity never playing Marshall, and we will be just fine. You need us just for survival and you know you need us... and it just kills you inside to have to admit that to yourselves... but you know it's the truth. Marshall is dying a slow death. In five years, you will be back to IAA status. You can't even fund your football scholarships right now.

Take my advice, call the Southern Conference and tell them you want your old room back. Start making friends with them now, because when you do go back to IAA, you are gonna need friends there that will help pull for your re-admittance into it's fold... and sadly for you... just like the Big East... the Southern Conference won't want you either."

MU, does not need, or want WVU any longer. We, as a University community made a mistake in thinking our sister University would have our back. Now, sadly, we have learned better, we sincerly, and honestly, do not want anything in this universe to do with you, or your University. I, am speaking for myself, and the majority of Herd fans who post here on this board. However, there are many people who we have no control, or influence with, that would like to see the WVU vs. MU match up. What happens/ happens. It is ignorant to debate such an insignificant matter. If we all were in a different cultural setting, you would not find this sort of "whatever" even becoming an issue. Seriously gang, this is not that great of an issue.  America, and the great state of WVA has many more important, and pressing issues.

Seriously gang, this is not that great of an issue. America, and the great state of WVA has many more important, and pressing issues.

Tell that to Manchin who sees fit to force this issue between WVU and MU. I wholeheartedly agree that there are much more pressing issues for the state to tackle: the Meth explosion in WV, video gambling, the State Medicaid fund,  frivlous malpractice lawsuits, Workers Comp.

He needs to let the schools figure it out.

Would you explain one thing with Marshall owning the south and Ohio river boundary up to Parksburg why dose WVU average 52000 for  game an Marshall 27000. One more thing of the eleven other teams in your conference two have a winning record over the last five years

I, personally don't know, we used to average 12,000, and now we average 27,000. You guy's, used to average 29,000, and now average many more. It is a metaphysical phenom. Personally, I believe there are aliens taking over our state.
