If we win this year it will be the Rice game.  Other than that, I don't hold out a lot of hope.  Our talent level is on par with what we had in the mid-80's, which was decent for 1AA FB but will not get it done in major college football.  And everyone keeps talking about injuries hurting us, and I assume that it probably does.  However, all we heard was how good of a recruiter Snyder is and if that's the case, why aren't some of his highly-touted recruits stepping up and making plays.

The Rice and UAB games will be nail biters to the end.  Two bad teams going at it....I'm saying it now...The Herd will lose 1 of these 2 games....

I must say ... that is a very good question.


And if I may add to the thread ... correct me if Im wrong here, but doesnt every  college football program deal with injuries? What I mean is this ... if you have 3 - 4 - 5 guys banged up and cant play, does this give you the reason not to win? Good coaches and teams win with players out of the game. A handful of guys doesnt make a team. If it does ... you've got major problems.

I think we'll win several of our remaining games...because our conference isn't very good.  But it's probably a bad year to make Marshall football something you will live or die by.  It doesn't mean it can't be fun, love it for what it is, go to the tthe games, eat some barbecue, and believe. Many of us have seen a lot worse teams and a lot worse days.  That doesn't mean we're bad fans or that we don't want to win or even that we don't acknowlege problems...but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't cheer for the guys who are wearing the green.

You've seen worse than 0-5 (possibly 0-12)?  How is that possible.

As much as I love the Herd, it's just not fun to watch them.  I do anyways, but when I get anxious and nervous watching an extra point try, then you know we have problems.
