What has Snyder Built?

  • We have been hearing for 2 years now that the roster was depleted and coach Pruett left us in shambles.  So my question to everyone is what in the past 2 years has Snyder built for the future.  It’s not the offensive line, the defensive line, or the secondary we know that much.  So what is it?  Yeah we got some good skill players, but that’s about it.  We will enter next year with a shaky offensive line, only one proven DL, a horrific secondary, a RB who tends to fumble, and in all likelihood a 1st time starting QB.  So I ask the question again what have we built?
And this is mainly from a personnel standpoint.   If you look at fundamentals or the lack there of, penalties, tackling or the lack there of, one has to wonder what Coach Snyder brings to the table.  He is nice guy blah blah blah and whatever, but what positives has he shown on the field in the past 2 seasons?

  • I would just like to see Snyder get mad or show emotion. No wonder this team cant play with heart when the only thing Snyder does is look scared and  act like he wants to cry. I guess those 2 are emotions, just not the ones we want to see. God we suck @ss.  :-?

  • The only great thing I saw in last night that was good was Snyder getting in Leggetts A$$ after we ended up punting due to his hold during that bomb we would have scored a touch down.  Thats the most fired up I have ever seen him be towards a player, and I would like to see a lot more of it.

  • I don't think we know yet what he's building because we haven't seen enough of his players yet.

On the oline we have Curry and Wood who were both pretty highly rated, Campbell and Baldridge who are already playing, Vint and Schoefield who I have seen in the sub varsity games, but don't know if they are working out or not.  Bruhin, offense or defense?

QBs we have Cann, Smith, Gardner, and Anderson - one of which will most likely work out with one capable back up.

RB - Marshall, who is good but with a few key fumbles (but less than Bradshaw), Edwards we haven't seen and Cox on the horizon.

WR - Edmonsen, mixed results, Thompson, who knows yet, Milligan, who knows, Passmore, good.

TE - Slate, great, Smith, great potential.

Dline - 3 props that could all be good during their time here, Janec is playing well and could be really good, Jones playing as a true frosh gaining experience.

LB - Booker, Harvey, King would love to see all three get more opportunities (Snyder going with experience over potential?), Harris a Big 33 player from PA redshirting, Josh Johnson good with more upside.

DB/Safety - I like Hall, would like to know where Perry is, A. Johnson was playing well before the broken arm but it looks like it's affecting his play, the new kid whose name I can't place because he's redshirting who was popping people in 2 a days.

So I would say that you can look at that and say that maybe he is getting talent, the thing is half are redshirting or props and most of th erest are first year players.
