There can be very little doubt that Marshall athletics is struggling in many respects and unfortunately we are at a crossroad and need to consider where we go from here to rebuild athletics.
The overall athletic department needs leadership right now. The replacement which should occur as soon as practical is the Athletic Director. The current situation demands serious people who have the insight and skill sets necessary to help develop a plan to correct the course in athletics. With all of the evidence in hand, can anyone seriously say that KO is the person they want helping craft this effort?
Whether any substantial changes are made in Football or not, at least a change at AD helps begin setting the stage.
As for the few who will make comments that we have played some big games he helped arrange, did you happen to see Texas play at UCF and some of the other early season games where big teams came to non-BCS schools? Our AD said Tennessee would not come to Huntington. He has no accomplishments in scheduling to talk about.
