HUNTINGTON -- Marshall was victorious Friday night in a Conference USA volleyball showdown with Tulane.Marshall (12-7, 5-0) defeated the Green Wave, 3-0, by scores of 30-25, 30-21, 30-24 in Cam Henderson Center. Tulane fell to 15-4 overall and 5-1 in conference matches."We'll take that win any day," Marshall coach Mitch Jacobs said. "It was really hot in the Cam Henderson Center tonight and that really played to our advantage."Kelly-Anne Billingy led the Thundering Herd performance with 19 kills and five blocks. Elizabeth Fleming had 38 assists.Marshall had nine service aces and 14 blocks."Our service game really got Tulane off kilter," Jacobs said. "That really was the key to the victory for us tonight."The Herd continues a home stand at 1 p.m. Sunday against UTEP. Admission is free.
