  • I personally like Coach Snyder, i think he is doing the best he can with the circumstances he inheirited, and found himself in this year with the injury bug hitting the team very hard.  I love to see a lot of wins for Marshall as a fan, but i guarantee that the coaches and players are taking this season harder than any of us fans, simply because as fans, we only get mad about losing, as coaches, their lively hood depends upon how they perform, and as athletes, i do not believe there is a single player who is happy about the season.  So hopefully they can turn it around and come up with a 3-4 wins this season and work that into next year.

  • Well since you want it to end then I guess we have no choice. By the way, for all of those Snyder is a great guy, he is an alum, he has a family, give him time, he needs 2-3 more years, I'm seeing progress, we're turning the corner, it's not his fault Pruett left him with this mess, I would like for those posts to end

Listen ... Im not gonna talk about Snyder when the thread is asking for it to stop ... but please explain to me where you see progress in the worst start in over 30 years? What corner are you speaking about that we are turning? And for the love of God ... how can one blame Pruett 3 years later? Pruett in his last year went 6-6 ... which he played against 5 teams that went on to bowls and we ended up in the Fort Worth Bowl against Cincy.

Most programs go 6-6 when they are going through a rebuilding year. Im not trying to protect Pruett and what happened with his time frame of leaving the program ... but to blame him for this season ... you gotta be out of your freak'n skull.

Maybe we can tell the national media and websites that he is our guy and to take his name off of this list, right?

    http://www.coacheshotseat.com/CoachesHotSeatRanking.htm

Notice that MS is #11, and 5 coaches above him have a winning % over .500.  Think we would even be having these posts if he was .500?

  • Anyone on this board is entitled to their opinion and I try to respect that. I believe Snyder will get at least another year so I'm not going to debate that issue. I'm not upset with the fact we are young, inexperienced, and basically beat up. Snyder has to play the schedule that was handed him. What I am upset with is the fact that we have a coach learning as he goes. You can point to a lot of games where the coaches did very poor in game preparation and especially during the game. This is where the head coach needs to be accountable. It's time to put up or shut up. I hope we get a win this week and I'll be there just like I have for the last 30 years and hopefully for 30 more.

  • Thanks to all you that post encouragement and praise to our team right now.   A true Herd fan does not go and bash the team or their coaching staff when the going gets rough.  I am a player Mom and I know first hand what these guys are going thru.  I hear my sons voice right before the games and I hear it afterwards when sometimes it is all he can do to talk.  It truly takes everyone, the fans, the players, and the coaches to keep everyone together and the spirits high.  So please, don't give up on our team - we will get thru this and come out victorious!  Thanks for your support!

I am throughly impressed with the team's effort. It's pretty easy to pack it in when times get tough, but these guys aren't giving up in what has to be a discouraging time.

    Their work will pay off.

  • We support the players, at least I do.  But you would have to be blind to not realize that Snyder is driving people away from this program.  Snyder is a loser, and he is forcing his losing ways onto the players.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE SNYDER SUCKS, HE'S NOT SMART, AND HE HAS NEVER EVER OUT-COACHED ANYONE.  ON THE OTHER HAND HE HAS BEEN OUT-COACHED AND OUT-SCEMED ON MANY OCCASIONS.  IF YOU HAVE ANY HOPE OF THE RETURN TO THE GLORY DAYS, THEN THIS FOOL MUST GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My problem is really not with Snyder right now but with the offensive cor. I understand the problems with the injuries on the Defensive side of the ball, but the Offense has enought talent to be putting up at least 40 points a game with the right play calling. We run the same 6 or 7 plays over and over again, Slate and Passmore are unbelievable talents and need at least 12 to 15 touchs each game and for godsakes use the middle of the field. When they have used the middle of the field this year it has worked about 95% of the time, these two recievers are faster than any of the defensive counterparts they will face.  Bernie is having by far his best year ever with nothing to show for it. I will say this though about Snyder, he should be taking over the offense when we are not moving the ball like Pruett used to do, he seems to have no guts to me with some of the calls he has made as a head coach i.e. kicking the field goal just before half of the wvwho game without taking a couple of shots at the endzone!!!!!
