HUNTINGTON -- When Marshall fell behind 2-0 against Memphis on Sunday, Marshall coach Mitch Jacobs didn't know what to say to his team.

So, he said exactly that -- nothing.

"I walked out of the locker room," I told them I didn't have anything to say or what to tell you guys, but we do have four seniors here. ... I have no idea what was said after I left."

Whatever was said worked as the Thundering Herd charged back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Tigers 3-2 and retain first place in Conference USA.

Four Marshall players scored in double-digit kills, led by Kelly-Anne Billingy's 19 kills and a career-high 18 kills from Uche Ndubisi. Stephanie Cahill had a double-double with 14 kills and 15 digs while Jalicia Ross had 12 kills.

Despite being in double figures, Memphis defended Billingy and Cahill as well as any team had this season, forcing Marshall's top two outside hitters into 18 errors in the match.
