By Jim Walker/Tribune Sports EditorFriday, November 9, 2007 10:15 AM CSTHUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The East Carolina Pirates don’t mind using Plan A or Plan B.Using two quarterbacks, the Pirates have been scoring at a 32-points per game clip that has produced a 6-4 record overall but 5-1 in the Conference USA East Division.Quarterbacks Rob Kass (6-4, 247) and Pat Pinkney (6-0, 198) create two different offenses for opponents to defend.Kass is 80 of 147 for 909 yards and six touchdowns. He has thrown four interceptions.Pinkney is 94 of 157 for 1,086 and 10 TDs with four interceptions.“When you look at their offense, they are very versatile,” said Herd coach Mark Snyder.“They play with a two quarterback system that almost looks like they are using two offenses depending on which kid is in there and you have to know who is in the game.”
