I have just recieved word that our friend Phtoby (KD Lawson) passed away Sunday night from a massive heart attack. More info later. :'(

I found out about noon today. I watched the game with him on Saturday at my house, we had a great time and he left my place in great spirits after the big win. I'm in shock.

Terrible, terrible news. Gosh I truly hate to hear that.

I never met him other than on this forum but I had NO doubt the kind of man he was.

He was a Gentleman among us fools. I will miss him....

I am in shock.... A lot of people say nice things about someone when they have passed, but this man was truly someone that deserved all of the praise given to him. He was so smart about a lot of different things it was unreal. Master photographer, master pastry chef, a professor... the list goes on. The man really knew his football, too. Those that didnt know him other than this board, really missed out on a great fan and person. And I dont say that very often. He will definetely be missed by his HERD family......RIP big guy.....

This hurts really bad...KD was a student of mine at UT, a great friend, and we talked on a weekly basis.

I am really going to miss him..as I know you will Tattoo and _sturt_.

Wow this is very bad news.

May God comfort his family and survivors at this very troubling time.

I never met K.D. Lawson in person but I have been reading his posts for years. I almost feel like I know the guy.

My sympathies go out to his family, his friends, and his fellow Alumni who are personally affected by this loss of a great person.

From reading that newspaper article and the posts on here it sounds like he will be sorely missed.

I am at a complete loss for words. That man was such a special person and I'm sure throughout his life he touched a lot of hearts. Horrible, horrible news. And the for the folks that only new him from the board...well you knew him. He wasnt any different in the way he was on this forum than he was if you met him in person. Just awful news to get.

This is tragic news. Although I don't post much I've checked in nearly everyday for 2 years and thoroughly enjoy reading his posts. I know he will be truly missed in the HERD community and my prayers go out to his family.

I did not know "PhotoBy" (Mr. Lawson), but I enjoyed his posts on this site. He was a great fan of your program and I am sure that he will be sorely missed.

Oh No--this is terrible news. I had emailed KD Sunday evening thanking him for helping me out on my Imac; seems like he was always helping someone out. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
