  • Snyder has definately pulled in another good looking class on paper.  I remember the days when we were just lucky to get a kid that had a star let alone 3 of them.

  • I remember those days too.  Synder and staff have really elevated our level of recruiting.  We may some more surprises before this recruiting season is over.

What coordinators?  Have I missed the hiring of the offensive and defensive coordinators?

  • I hope I'm not disappointed later on but here are some of my reasons for optimism:

Return of A Mac.......pass rush helps secondary
V Curry was a player last fall til disqualified
Return of healthy M Glasgow lost after two 07 games
two prop DT's at about avg 6'3 290 to help Glasgow, Moore, Janac, Burke
    the Portis guy
at least 4 new secondary people, two of which(Miller and Brown) aren't
    HS players.......Miller really sounds good
-did I mention the Portis guy?
prob something like 15 guys return who have started at least one game
    Jo Jo Cox
Branden and Brandon ......all six hundred plus pounds at 6'5 and 6'6
the two lefties though inexperienced and raw
    #5
    the Portis guy
    ol Cody
    WR corps sounds awesome
    and besides ......WE ARE...........MARSHALL

  • Scout has our 2008 class currently ranked 8th out of 12 in C-USA so far.  Finished 4th in 2007, 5th in 2006.

Scout doesn't have us with Graham, Wilson, or Murdock.  However, they did just now rate Josh Miller as 3 stars.

  • What a weird ranking system it is going by shear volume of recruits on how well the recruit is rated.

  • I would rather have 0 star athletes who win than to have 4-5 star athletes who lose.

Glad our former coaching staffs saw the value in such "no-star" athletes like Troy Brown and Chad Pennington.

I have no idea what their ranking system is and the one they are using makes no sense to me.
