carolina,
As usual, I have no idea what you posted. Please explain a few things:
a) Where are you getting your info that BP's choice was Skinner?
b) Snyder was on campus for exactly two practices in the spring. Where are you getting your info that Snyder liked Morris 'right off the bat'?
c) Who does Kueck want to start and where are you getting this info?
d) What do you mean when you say, "if skinner starts, morris may still start"?
No problem, sorry you have trouble understanding my posts.
With regards to Skinner being the starter, my information came from another poster on this board from Carolina, who's close family member is a member of the staff. The statement was made taking into consideration the fact of spring ball, and adjusted to be still the case today. The reason is not a greater athletic ability, but he knows the system so well, and has the mental ability to continually change the play at the line of scrimmage. This is a big + in his favor, because its work well with the offense that MU, and L. Kueck runs. With regards to Snyder, who I like a lot, he made statements to the fact how much he was impressed with Morris's athletic ability, on more than one occasion. These quotes were in part posted at Herdnation, and did appear in the Charleston newspapers. I am not certain about Huntington. Morris, is a gifted, and potentially great athlete, and if he should learns the system as well as Skinner has, he will get the nod, no doubt. Larry Kueck, is still the OC, and he knows the MU offensive system about as well as anyone I know. He realizes the + of having a QB on the field who can check off multiple times if necessary. This is something Skinner can do, according to what I have been told. If we stay strictly with MU/Kueck offense, then as of today Skinner is the better candidate. If Skinner starts at QB, I believe Morris may start in the slot. I also understand he may be used in a multitude of ways including QB, until he learns to read defenses etc. a little better, not necessarily as well as Skinner. That will be up to him, and he could get it done this summer, but as of now he is the better athelete, but once again Skinner just understands the system better.
Carolina,
