Marshall Statement Concerning John Inman

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. ? Marshall University football coach Mark Snyder has issued the following statement regarding offensive lineman John Inman, who according to the Huntington Police, was cited Sunday evening for driving under the influence of alcohol.

"I am disappointed in John," said Snyder. "Anytime one of our student-athletes makes a poor decision, it is very discouraging. This is a matter that we take very seriously and are addressing it in an appropriate way. Unfortunately for John and the Marshall football family, he will be suspended for our opening game against William and Mary."

Inman, a sophomore from Knoxville, Tenn., played in eight games for the Thundering Herd in 2004.

I guess I completely missed this newsflash because this is the first I heard about Inman.  I hate to see it but I'm glad that Snyder is doing what needs to be done.

They had a long thread going on Inman on HerdNation Monday and it was taken down until a statement was released. It's really sad, I hope Snyder can put a knot in some of them and instill some discipline and respect. Maybe being in the same dorms will do that.
