Cool things went down guys. Anyone who missed it you should have been there. The food was the shizzle, but I love Italian so it was great.

Snyder really wants a sellout for the Kstate game and said if it did not happen it was a crime! He said we need to be out recruiting fans to come to the games and to the Kstate game and get them to Big Green functions to get them to join. It is only $25 guys to join for crying out loud! I am a poor college student and I can afford that!! I can't believe that all of the season ticket holders can fork out money for a season ticket but can't pay an extra $25 to be in the Big Green and support the program even more!! Plus you get points you will need in the future if you expect to get to any good away games!!! I am telling you folks, you better do it now or pay the price of not getting a seat a good games.

The new facilites are the bomb and should be done in within the year. I specifically asked Marcum about the timeline on the IPF and he said he did not see any reason why it could not be done within 1 year by the time Spring ball starts! That is soon guys!! He said that it only take 7 weeks to put up!! That is it. That is pretty quick. He said the weightroom could be done by late fall early winter and once they get started on building it it will go up fast because once they get it under roof things will fly. They will have some good building time this summer if it stays dry like it has.

Farrel said look for all new construction to be done within 3 years on campus, including the new dorms, which will go up first and will house students and faculty in apartment style rooms, the new baseball field, and the rec center. Hodges, Laidley and Comm. and Tech College will all be torn down to make way for the new dorm. Also will take out current tennis courts. All of this will be complete in 3 years and will be started this summer I think. The bill to allow this goes into effect in July and they won't waste time on this.

Snyder on new traditions said that the players will stay at the Embassy Suites hotel in Charleston to form a team and calm themselves the night before every home game and will drive down on a bus to give them time to think about the game then will be dropped off at the Henderson Center and will walk to the stadium through the stadium lot to the field. Snyder wants the players to be on a rollercoaster of emotion the day of the game by being calm and then getting fired up by walking through the parking lot to a crazy crowd like he had when he came out at the spring game!! That means all you rich dudes in the parking lot before the game have to actually make some noise when the team comes through because we don't want to make him look stupid. I would say a majority of fans in the lot the spring game were not the fans who tailgate in the lot usually. We were rowdy like real fans should be. We party and we get pumped and that is what he wants to see before the game and he said he wants the players to experience that before they go to the lockerroom to get prepared for the game. So be there and cheer like it is your last breath!!

I was really disappointed in the auction and the fact no one bid on tickets in the presidents box for the Southern Miss game!! I was shocked and I think everyone was when no one bid. I was embarrassed and if I had the money that some there had I would have bid in a heartbeat!! It was rediculous. They went for $500 and that is it!! The guy who won them was the guy doing the auctioning for gosh sake!! That is why our program is having trouble growing because we still have small time mentality. If that were OSU and you offered tickets like that, I don't care if it was a Kent State game there would be people who bid in the thousands! Just goes to show how far we have to go. This ain't high school and we must pay the price to get a good team. I hope people start to step up because it is embarrassing right now for the real fans.

They did auction off a color replica of the WVU/MU contract. There was only 2 guys bidding back and forth on that and they end up giving both of them a copy for $250. That was cool. Would liked to have had that.

Let me tell you something about the weight room. The place is huge. Flat out. It has to one of the best in the country no doubt. They showed blueprint from the top of the facility and I swear it looked to be about half the size of the IPF. No kidding. It is going to be nice.

We all need to step up and join the Big Green because it is only $25!!! I got a friend to join because he didn't realize how cheap it really was and didn't know that you get 3 points per spouse for being an alum. He signed up right away. Better get on board now to even get a smell of good away game tickets in the future. Great meeting though and very informative. Definately worth $10. The food itself was worth that let alone rubbing elbows with the Marshall athletics big men and all the great inside info!

Good info, THunders.  You mentioned the new weightroom blueprints showing it to be huge.  If its the same blueprint I saw a couple years ago I agree with you it was huge.

i forgot in my older update, and haven't seen anyone else mention this.

kayo or ferrill one asked Snyder if the 4th game of the wvu series would be in huntington.  He said, yes, absolutely.

as far as the auction goes, it was pitiful.  there were several things in the silent auction that didn't get a bid, they took them back.  there were several things in the silent auction that went with one bid.

that was a big difference from the Charley West QB club function at Berry Hills, they were bidding it up.  you guys might want to make a mental note, putnam county functions will be a good place to get deals...as it seems that crowd is a little more frugal than the Charley west and Htown crowds.  That might explain our Big Green membership in putnam compared to population, alumni etc etc....

The auctions were pathetic at best.  I was very surprised that the tickets in the presidents box did not get ONE DAMN BID!!  I would have bid on that in a heartbeat had I had the money and I know there were people there that had the money.   That is a major problem with some of the Herd followers is that they are very tight with the money and want 2 dollars to turn into a national champtionship.  Not gonna happen folks.  Have to spend money to get the things we need and if it weren't for the state allowing us to build the weightroom and things we would have nothing except for the couple folks who donate the big bucks to the athletic program.  Things have got to change if we expect to ever go anywhere.
