  • I've got Skyline and Gold Star up here but it's just not the same as a Huntington dog.  I found this link and thought it gave some interesting history on Huntington's area hot dog stands. My favorite is Stewarts. Whenever I visit we like to go to Stewarts and get a bag of dogs and a gallon of root beer.

I have to make room for Evaronis and Tudors each time as well. ;)

  • Here is a link to the Parkette site:

I had forgotten about their "Running Pigs" sign.

I still look for restaurants that have sliced Bananna pie like theirs.

  • When my kids and I visit family in Huntington, we love to get a bunch of "Sam's" Hot Dogs.    Although we always enjoy eating at HillBilly Hotdogs as well.

I've yet to eat at Hillbilly Hotdogs. I saw them featured on a Food Channel show and it looks pretty interesting. I'll have to check them out soon. Any recommendations on what to order?
And please don't say the Homewrecker... ;D...I saw that one on the show and it's a gut full.

  • BigGreenArms,

I really like the "Junkyard Dog" from HillBilly Hotdogs.   My daughter likes the "Pizza Dog" and my son just likes them plain.....LOL

When in Huntington, we eat at the newer one close to Marshall.

    My usual order---
    Junkyard Dog
    Thundering Herd
Egg Dog (with Tabasco instead of ketchup)

    MMMMMMMMM . . . . .

Of course, avoid the former unless you can handle pooping razor blades the next morning.
