  • Then it shouldn't have gotten into coaching. Business is business. This is the real world. If you don't produce you don't have a job. It's a capitalistic society.

I have no problem with the man losing his job if he doesn't win football games.  I do have a problem with disgracing the man just because he didn't win football games.

  • The essence of this thread is the violation of NEHERDFANS civil rights, Period.  And please let's not draw the women, children, and the orphans into this discussion.

I haven't read all three pages of this thread yet, but I just HAD to comment on this gem.  Do you intentionally post trying to make yourself look foolish?  'Cause it's working.

A "violation of civil rights."  Wow.   You'd have to work at being this stupid.

  • I have worked in business for many many years. As a business owner/operator, I can sell to whom I want.
Now if I refuse you due to race, color, religion, etc, that is another matter.

Let it go. Show up at the game Tuesday and every other and cheer your head off for OUR Thundering Herd.

murox, just because you are a drug dealer, and I pissed you off the other night when I said, a big bunch of this world is ahead of the USA in health care it should not give you cause to come onto this thread and try and degrade me or besmirch me as an individual. I respect the position you occupy; I just don't agree with it.

    I'm a drug dealer?  Really?

You're an imbecile.  If IQs were awarded as football jerseys, you'd be a quarterback.

  • I don't know what's a bigger joke the record Mark Snyder has or the fact that it cost $560 dollars to advertise on a billboard in Huntington for a month?

  • This thread boils down to folks who believe in "Tact" and those who do not.

While it might be true that Snyder has failed as a coach at Marshall, that doesn't make it tactful to put up a billboard calling for his dismissal.  There are less intrusive and more tactful ways to go about it.

I don't think Marcum, Kopp or anyone else would listen. A billboard would get the attention of everyone.

Well I will tell you the only thing I know for sure big hitter. I will just defer to the 'smart guy's' like you. Maybe you can explain to the poor people in West Virginia and throughout America how come they cannot afford to fill their prescription this month.

Perhaps that's true.  But I don't think the administration is as blind to the problem as they are letting on in the media (perhaps KO is, but I'm not sure Kopp and the other powers are).

  • On this claim or no claim.

You can file a suit on anybody for anything.

Do you people forget you live in WV??

I see (bleep) suits that are a waste of so much money simply because attorney's are fishing.  Sometimes they get money, sometimes they don't.

  • This is the first time that I have ventured to the "Smack Board" and I am telling you this idea is pure insanity.  I am not a fan of Mark Snyder's coaching but I am a fan of his as a person and family man.  His daughters go to the school where I teach. Well you know how cruel kids can be to their own.  Some kids will get wind of this if it is carried out and the smack will be brought down on his girls.  Keep this up and we will become no better than what Morganhole did to their place kicker last year after the Pitt game.  Come on guys Herd fans are better than this.  I know everyone is frustrated and discouraged, but let's be civil.

I nominate the above for post of the month. TRS makes a very good point that we might become like the fans in morganhole if we act in a classless manner.

  • There's nothing classless about it. It's not like people are trying to get a billboard up that says, "Snyder sucks weenie, fire that piece of %^&*!" If i read correctly, the guy wanting to purchase the space wanted nothing but facts that happen to be negative about our program under Snyder. Maybe if Snyder doesn't want FACTS to be thrown out, he should've done something to change those FACTS. There's nothing classless or bad about it. If it embarrasses him, maybe he shouldn't have taken a job where thousands of people will criticize you. Do you really think he had no idea that could happen? Give me a %^&* break. He's basically been paid hundreds of thousands of dollars every year to do nothing but drive a once proud football program into the ground.. and you're worried about hurting his feelings? And his daughters.. do you think kids are gonna make fun of them over a billboard? After all of the stupid ass mistakes he's made that has cost us to lose games.. if it's going to happen, it already has by now. A friggin billboard isn't gonna drive his daughters to suicide or anything. Get over it.

  • If you advertise on a billboard, you don't have to name anyone. You can state your case without actually saying what sport or school you are advertising about and sign your name as "A concerned fan"

  • Murox I cannot control your beliefs with regards to healthcare, and I do recognize we have diametrically opposing ideas with regards on this subject. However that certainly does not give me the right being, a MU Alumn to reply to your post in such a classless manner as I did yesterday in calling you a name. I apologize for ever allowing myself to behave towards a fellow MU Alumn in such a manner.

Anything negative they're gonna hear.. they've already heard. Get a %^&* clue. People over analyze every %^&* thing. His kids have probably gotten %^&* from other kids from his first stupid mistake.. 4 years of them and you think they're gonna be bothered by a billboard? Wow.
